Half bandaged - Bendate a metà Usually I fully cover my Peps'n'Dolls with bandages, due to show how difficult can be when we try to express ourselves while having no chance to talk. But this time I preferred to give them the possibility to show their faces. Anyway, I gave them no eyes... or no mouth, or no ears. That's because sometimes we are just to shy to talk, or too respecful to watch, or too scared to listen. These two sculptures represent a couple of friend: Jasmin and Andrea. I took inspiration from a book I'm writing (don't worry I will need years and years to finish it!!!!). In my story they look complitely different... and they can talk. But in this sculpture version, they are forced to use alternative methods to communicate. They will be able to understand eachother thanks to their open hearts. "Butterfly"- scultura in camera d'aria di bicicletta e stoffa - Pepel 2014 LA FAVOLA DI BUTTERFLY: C'era una volta una farfalla nata in un garage pieno di... beh... pieno di  camere d'aria e pezzi di stoffa... insomma, in un garage pieno di cose strane, ecco. Era una creatura grande grande, dalle ali ricoperte di fili colorati e stoffe luccicanti che sognava con tutta se stessa di poter vedere la luce del sole. Butterfly non era una farfalla come le altre. Non era stata creata da Madre Natura, ma progettata e costruita dall'essere umano. A volerla era stata una donna bionda che pensava di poterla possedere, usare, assoggettare al proprio volere, utilizzare per attirare l'attenzione e per innalzare attraverso essa il proprio ego. Per far questo aveva chiesto ad una giovane artista di plasmarla con materiali di riciclo. Secondo la donna bionda, la creatura doveva essere un bell'oggetto. Doveva essere destinata ad occupare un intero...

Il 2016 si stava rivelando un anno infruttifero. Il fatto di voler essere un'artista professionista in un Paese in cui l'arte non è considerata una professione ed il mio tentativo di ristrutturare il negozio di famiglia per farne un atelier d'arte mi stavano totalmente impedendo di lavorare. Vista l'impossibilità di fare qualche soldo col mio lavoro e le difficoltà psicologiche che questo comportava, ho dunque deciso di prendermi cura delle mie opere in altro modo. Ho scelto la strada dei concorsi d'arte. Strada incerta, che può regalarti immense soddisfazioni o terribile tristezza... ma pur sempre meglio dell'attendere un anno facendo appello a tutta la pazienza che non ho. Ho quindi dato il via alla ricerca del giusto contest da cui iniziare. Non è facile scegliere il concorso perfetto. Visto il mio carattere, se devo mettermi in gioco devo farlo sul serio.
