Peps'n'Dolls - Reborn Sculptures
Pepel’s sculptures represent bodies wrapped in bandages: anthropomorphic figurines that express the human feelings only by their body language.
As most of these bandages, in the first years, were made of used bicycle inner tubes, people started to call Pepel’s sculptures “Rubber Dolls”. Even if she changed the bandages materials, Pepel is still known as “The Rubber Dolls artist”.

Le sculture di Pepel rappresentano corpi avvolti in bende: figure antropomorfe che esprimono i sentimenti umani solamente attraverso il linguaggio del corpo.
Dato che molti bendaggi, nei primi anni, venivano effettuati con camere d'aria di bicicletta riciclate, la gente cominciò a chiamarle "Rubber Dolls" (bambole di gomma). Sebbene abbia cambiato i materiali di cui sono composte le bende, Pepel è tutt'ora conosciuta come "l'artista delle bambole di gomma"

About Pepel
Born Laura Finotto in the province of Venice, Italy in 1981, Pepel starts her artistic career in 2012 creating sculptures with recycling materials. Inspired by her personal life experiences and her deep introspection, she consider art as a healing process. Pepel’s sculptures represent bodies wrapped in bandages: anthropomorphic figurines that express the human feelings only by their body language.
As most of these bandages, in the first years, were made of used bicycle inner tubes, people started to call Pepel’s sculptures “Rubber Dolls”. Even if she changed the bandages materials, Pepel is still known as “The Rubber Dolls artist”.
Pepel works and lives in San Donà di Piave – Venice – Italy

All'anagrafe Laura Finotto, nata in provincia di Venezia nel 1981, Pepel intraprende la carriera artistica nel 2012 creando sculture con materiali riciclati. Inspirata dalle proprie esperienze personali e da una profonda introspezione, considera l'arte un processo di guarigione. Le sculture di Pepel rappresentano corpi avvolti in bende: figure antropomorfe che esprimono i sentimenti umani unicamente attraverso il linguaggio del corpo.
